American Tire Distributors has Acquired the Assets of Remington Tire Distributors dba "Gray's Wholesale Tire Distributors"

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Oct. 8, 2008) - American Tire Distributors Inc. announced today that it has acquired the assets of Remington Tire Distributors dba "Gray's Wholesale Tire Distributors". This acquisition will further enhance American Tire Distributors' service level to tire retailers across the states of Texas and Oklahoma.

Gray's Wholesale Tire Distributors was founded in 1975 in Fort Worth, Texas. The organization operates two distribution centers in Texas - one in Houston and one in Fort Worth. These centers service over 3,000 customers across Texas and Oklahoma.

Since ATD's July 2004 entrance into Texas and Oklahoma, we have invested in our facilities, our people and our customers. As a result of these investments and the hard work of the teams in the ten distribution centers covering these two states, we have substantially grown our sales and market share! The acquisition of Gray's Wholesale Tire Distributors represents another investment to drive our continued growth in these important markets.
